directorverifications.com verifies the identity of company directors, PSCs, LLP members and Limited Partnership partners on behalf of Companies House in the UK. We're an ACSP (Authorised Corporate Service Provider), we work with people anywhere in the world, and many of the people whose IDs we verify don't hold British passports.

Who we are

directorverifications.com is a trading style of Finovium Limited, a firm of accountants, tax and business advisers based in Chelsea, West London. Finovium's been helping businesses for over ten years. It was incorporated on 2 November 2015 and it's registered in England and Wales under company number 09852857.

We're registered with Companies House as an ACSP (Authorised Corporate Service Provider), which is what the law now requires of any business or person who verifies identities on behalf of Companies House. We're also registered with HMRC as an authorised tax agent, certified by HMRC as compliant with the Anti-Money Laundering (AML) regulations, and registered with the Information Commissioner's Office.

Why we exist

The government's own route for verifying company directors’ IDs is GOV.UK One Login, and it's built around UK documents and UK addresses. If you hold a non-UK passport, or you live outside the UK, or you simply don't have the years of UK records the checks look for, there's a fair chance it'll refuse you and fail to verify your ID.

And when it refuses you, that's usually the end of it. There's no second government route to try. You can't fall back on the Post Office option, because that route will not be available to you the moment GOV.UK One Login has rejected you; what’s more, you may find yourself locked out of GOV.UK One Login itself for weeks or even months.

We know that at first hand. One of our own directors went through the GOV.UK One Login process and couldn't get verified; so he rang the Companies House helpline and was told the only route left to him was to verify his ID using an ACSP. That's what we are, and that's why we're here.

What we do, and what we don’t

We verify your ID. We check your identity documents to the Companies House standard, and once you're verified Companies House emails you an 11-character personal code, direct to your inbox.

Once you've received your 11-character personal code, we don't submit it to Companies House for you, and no ACSP will. Submitting the code is something you do, and it depends on which role you hold:

As a director, you provide your 11-character personal code in your company's next annual confirmation statement. There's no separate director service, and the company can file that statement early if it wants to.
As a PSC who isn't a director, you provide your 11-character personal code through the Companies House service called “Provide identity verification details for a PSC”, in the first 14 days of your birth month. Yes, that really is the name of the service, and nothing tells you when you’re submitting your confirmation statement that you’ll have to submit the same 11-character personal code to a different Companies House service at a later date. And no, you cannot submit the code twice in the same session.
If you're both a director and a PSC of the same company, you provide the same code twice, once for each role.

What we'll do is tell you plainly which of those applies to you and when, so you're not working it out yourself from the Companies House guidance. The submissions themselves are your tasks. You can read about the whole thing in our post on the two PSC deadlines.

What it costs

Our standard verification is £24.99 per person. Fast Track same-day verification is £39.99 per person.

The price is per person whose ID we verify, not per company, and the price you see is the price you pay.

If the automated check cannot verify your ID, a member of our team reviews your documents by hand. That is included in the price - we'll never charge you twice.

When we’re open

The office is open for enquiries Monday to Friday, 09:30 to 17:30.

Our ID verification service isn't tied to office hours. Fast Track runs seven days a week, including outside office hours, and if we've got everything we need from you before 5pm we'll complete it the same day.

Who’s behind it

directorverifications.com is the ID verification service of Finovium Limited, a firm of accountants, tax and business advisers in Chelsea, West London, that's been looking after businesses for over ten years. Finovium is the registered ACSP; directorverifications.com is the name the service trades under.

The service exists because one of our own directors was refused by the government's free service and was told there was nowhere else to go apart from using an ACSP. When he looked at the ACSPs that were offering to verify IDs, in early 2026, they were charging between £75 and £150, which he thought was far too much. We built directorverifications.com to provide a good value, hassle-free service for the people the government's free service turns away.
